CLIP
CLIP (abbreviation for Calling Line Identification Presentation) is a feature for incoming calls and can be enabled or disabled only on them. In the CLIP number of the calling party is transmitted to the called party, unless this is already restricted on the calling side (CLIR). Then has the person called a "CLIP-enabled" device is displayed the number of the caller. Does this terminal via an address book with the ability to store names, the corresponding name can be displayed.

CLIR CLIR (abbreviation for Calling Line Identification Restriction) is a feature for outgoing calls, and can be enabled or disabled only on them. With CLIR, it is possible to suppress the transmission of the telephone number to the called subscriber or restrict. It is therefore also known as "CLIR". It is only to a limited extent, because emergency services police, fire and rescue services are exempt.
CTCSS The CTCSS function (Continuous Tone Coded Squelch or Continuous Tone Coded Subaudio Squelch System) allows selecting specific wireless devices within a selected channel. When sending a low tone is also transmitted (pilot tone), respond to only the radios that are programmed on this ringer from the caller. When arriving the recognition tone they are then open the reception for listening.
dB Bel (B) is a named after Alexander Graham Bell auxiliary unit for the identification of levels and dimensions. This logarithmic sizes find its application for example in acoustics and generally in the art. In practice, the use of the tenth part of a bel (decibel, unit symbol dB) is common.
DECT Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (Digital enhanced cordless telecommunications) is a standard for cordless phones as well as for wireless data transmission in general.
Dot-Matrix-Display Matrix display means the structure of a display panel by means of a dot pattern which is arranged in horizontal rows and vertical columns
ECO Modus / Full ECO Modus Low-radiation DECT telephones reduce the transmitting power from the handset when it is sufficiently close to the base station and the heavily criticized for continuous transmission of the base station on-hook on the base unit handset is finished. Full Eco Mode certified device only send when phoning or the phone rings
Flash Funktion This function is often used in analog telephone systems that support two-wire cabling and DTMF commands. Ensuring that the system can recognize that it is commands to the telephone system, and not to DTMF commands eg for controlling a three-party conference in the public exchange, or to control an answering machine to the remote site in the transmitted DTMF tones, is the line connection for 70-90 msunterbrochen and the telephone system goes into command mode. This function is referred to as flash function.
GAP The Generic Access Profile (GAP) is the basic signaling protocol for telephony using Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT). CAP allows devices from different manufacturers to combine.
GSM Global System for Mobile Communicationsist a standard for fully digital mobile networks, which is mainly used for telephony, data transmission, and short text
HAC HAC (Hearing Aid Compatibility) was originally defined in the late 70s of last century to link a wired telephone with a hearing aid. The requirements have now been extended to mobile phones. As rated M3 or M4 meet FCC mobile phones needs. Here M4 is the better / higher classification.
Headset A headset is a combination of headphone and microphone that allows a two-way communication (listening and speaking).

LC Display A liquid crystal display (English liquid crystal display, LCD) or a liquid crystal display is a display or screen whose function is based on liquid crystals that influence the direction of polarization of light when a certain level is applied to an electric voltage.
Li-Ion A lithium-ion rechargeable battery (also lithium-ion battery, Li-Ion battery) is the generic term for batteries based on lithium.
MFV The multi frequency dialing is common in analog telephone technology Wähltechnik and today mainly used in telephone switching equipment systems for the transmission of the telephone number to the telephone network or telephone system.
Micro-SD Micro-SD ist ein sehr kompaktes Flash-Speicherkartenformat, das elektrisch mit SD Memory Card identisch ist. Wie auch die SD Card wird die micro-SD von der SD Association nach bestimmten Standards lizenziert.
MMS The Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) is a further development of SMS (Short Message Service) and EMS (Enhanced Message Service) to look at and offers the possibility of using a mobile phone to send multimedia messages to other mobile devices or regular e-mail addresses
Monochrom Monochrome Stands for "monochrome", meaning in connection with a mobile phone display indicates that the display on the screen can only be done in black and white.
Monophon Monophonic ringtones are monophonic tones, which restricts playback of ringtones acoustically.
MP Megapixel (MP) is based on the SI prefix for a million picture elements (pixels) and is the most common unit used to indicate the sensor and image resolution in digital photography.
MSN With MSN (English acronym for Multiple Subscriber Number) ISDN Basic Rate Interface can be reached under several phone numbers. The MSNs can be flexibly allocated to the terminal. In Germany the number of MSNs per ISDN multipoint connection is limited by the Federal Network Agency to a maximum of ten. The MSN is the part of the phone number, the area code, also called code, follows.
NiMH A nickel-metal hydride battery (NiMH) is an accumulator with a positive electrode made ??of nickel (II) hydroxide and a negative electrode made of a metal.
PMR PMR radio (short for Private Mobile Radio), 446bezeichnet as PMR, is a relatively new citizens' band radio application, which is allocated from 446.000 to 446.100 MHz UHF frequency range. PMR is the European counterpart to the American FRS, short for Family Radio Service.
Polyphon Polyphony refers to various types of polyphony in music. A Polyphonic Ringtone consists of several registers.
PTT Push to Talkbezeichnet generally at radio devices, the button to switch from receive to transmit.
Repeater A repeater is in communication technology, an electrical or optical signal amplifier or dresser to increase the range of the signal. The repeater is located some distance from the transmitter, receives the signals and sends them into newly edited form further, resulting in a larger distance can be bridged.
R-Taste The inquiry key, often R button in telephony serves to private or public telecommunications networks to signal commands which go beyond the transfer of the number to be called. This can be for example a relaying a call to another participant.
